4.Restoring files

Infections can do mainly four things to your site:

Add Files

If we detect infected files that were added/injected to your site, we will simply remove them, always saving backups.

Edit Files

If we detect files that were edited, we will simply remove the bad code inside of your legitimate files and also take a backup of that file.

Overwrite Files and Delete Files

However, if the infection overwrites or deletes files in your site, there is not much we can do. We will try our best to restore your site but in these scenarios we usually need old backups of your site.
